Comprehensive Acupuncture: This treatment involves the insertion of needles along specific pathways known as meridians in order to help regulate the body’s Qi, or energetic system. Aside from acupuncture needles, a treatment may also consist of cupping, gua sha, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, Qi Gong movement, diet therapy, and lifestyle coaching and recommendations.

Somatic Experiencing® Touchwork: This is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma, PTSD, and other stress disorders. The focus of SE™ is on creating awareness of inner physical sensations, which are seen as the carriers of the traumatic memory. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine, resulting from his multidisciplinary study of stress, physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, together with over 45 years of successful clinical application. The SE™ approach releases traumatic shock, which is key to transforming the wounds of emotional and early developmental trauma. In this treatment we are using techniques to tune-in to the body through orientation, observation of sensations, and possibly touch as a support – there is no acupuncture and will not be eligible for acupuncture health benefits.

Acupuncture + Somatic Experiencing®: An East-meets-West and bottom-up approach to healing where we take theories, philosophies, and treatment strategies from Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and blend with the clinical concepts and theories of Somatic Experiencing ®. The resulting approach creates a unique, safe, body-based treatment strategy to resolve traumatic stress. In this treatment we are using a combination of acupuncture and nervous system work that could include touch as a support to the body.
